“The players have been preparing for these games for two months. Tactically, we are ready, but we don’t know if it will be enough to be competitive. We have watched the video, but we will find out how it will be in real life. But in general, the players are ready. The opposing team has seen many changes in the last two months, including a pace first hitter, a lifter and a pace second hitter. In the last three weeks, a player from Iran has joined the team, as well as a strong player from Bulgaria. We see how the opponents play in their championship, nine games so far two points won. It will be very interesting to see how we as a team will play against competitive opponents,” says the head coach of the Riga team Daniele Capriotti.

“In training, we continue to work on the technical and tactical part and growth. We will have two training sessions and a game in Slovakia. How we will go depends on the situations, which will be affected by whether the players will enjoy the game and how they will solve the problems on the field. Besides, we have to see what will depend on the strength of the opponent. If we feel that the opponents are superior, then we will try to turn every episode to our advantage and take advantage of opportunities when the opponent plays worse. This will be a very good experience for us,” says the Italian volleyball specialist.
