Radja Nainggolan will not play again with Antwerp!

Former Red Devils midfielder Radja Nainggolan will no longer wear the Great Old jersey in the future. He was under contract until June 2023.

“Tonight a discussion took place between Radja Nainggolan and the management of the club. Due to the World Cup break, it was necessary to sit around a table. It was decided not to resume Radja in nucleus A. The club will cooperate with a possible transfer.”

The Antwerper had landed on August 21, 2021 at Bosuil from Inter after a good career in Italy. Now 34, the former Belgian international (30 caps, 6 goals) was kicked out of Antwerp’s core A on October 17 following his behavior off the field.

He was first arrested by a police patrol without a valid driver’s license and his car was confiscated. On Sunday October 16, before the match against Standard, Nainggolan was caught smoking an electronic cigarette on the sidelines when a general smoking ban was decreed in Belgian football stadiums. The “Ninja” had accepted this sanction, however, judging it “a little too harsh”.

Nainggolan has played twelve Jupiler Pro League games (1 goal, 1 assist) this season after playing 37 games (in all competitions) last season (3 goals, 3 assists).
