Poland Goalkeeper Horror Injury Ahead of the 2022 World Cup

Jakarta

Poland must change one goalkeeper when the 2022 World Cup is about to roll in a week. That’s because Bartlomiej Dragowski suffered a horror injury.

Bartlomiej Dragowski is Spezia’s goalkeeper and last season played for Fiorentina. In the continuation of the Italian League against Hellas Verona at Marcantonio Bentegodi, Sunday (11/13/2022) night WIB, Dragowski appeared as a starter.

Dragowski’s goal was broken in the 30th minute through Simone Verdi. Seven minutes later, Dragowski suffered a horror incident as he came out of the box to stop Kevin Lasagna’s run.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper broke his ankle and then groaned in pain. Dragowski’s team-mates seemed to be trying to calm him down on a stretcher off the pitch.

Spezia managed to rise in the second half and turned to win 2-1. M’Bala Nzola scored two goals and celebrated by showing off Dragowski’s jersey.

The injury made Dragowski’s hopes of appearing at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar to be buried deep. He certainly can not join the Polish national team and the trip this season is threatened to end prematurely.

Poland currently has two goalkeepers left for the 2022 World Cup. There are Wojciech Szczesny of Juventus and Lukasz Skorupski of Bologna.
