Commissioner of Persib Bandung, Umuh Muchtar
BOLASPORT.COM – The Commissioner of PT Persib Bandung Dignity (PBB), Umuh Muchtar, spoke about the Komnas HAM recommendation on the Kanjuruhan Tragedy.
Komnas HAM has completed an investigation into the humanitarian incident at the Kanjuruhan Stadium that killed hundreds of people.
In conclusion, they recommended PSSI to temporarily freeze all Indonesian football matches.
“Komnas HAM recommends that PSSI freeze all football competition activities until there is a substantive standardization of all supervisors and other match officials, in accordance with FIFA, AFC and PSSI regulations,” said Komnas HAM member Choirul Anam at a press conference on Wednesday.

Hearing the threat of freezing, Umuh Muchtar admitted that he did not accept Komnas HAM’s recommendation.
According to him, the proposal to stop football matches is a rash act and very dangerous.
“Football lovers in Indonesia almost reach 70 to 80 percent and this is a place for public entertainment,” said Umuh Muchtar, quoted from Tribun Jabar.
“Football is to unite the nation and unity and even a place of friendship, make no mistake,” he added.
