The Catalan coach renews two more seasons with the English club and will continue until 2025
Manchester City made official this Wednesday the renewal of Guardiola as coach of the English club for two more seasons. The Catalan’s previous contract expired in the summer of 2023, so he will continue to be linked to the ‘citizen’ team until 2025.
“I can’t thank everyone at the club enough for trusting me. I am happy and comfortable here. I have everything I need to do my job to the best of my ability”, said Guardiola himself, who was ecstatic after announcing the contract extension.
He has also referred to the next chapter of the Manchester club, for which he predicts an incredible project for the next decade. “It happened in the last ten years and it will happen in the next ten years because this club is very stable.”
Guardiola’s story with Manchester City still has several chapters to write. At the moment, 11 trophies and four of the last five leagues to his credit, but with the thorn of a Champions League that he has not yet been able to achieve, and that will surely be the main objective of the Catalan in his next three seasons at the Etihad Stadium.
