PBSI Holds International Mini Tournament Ahead of BWF World Tour Finals 2022

Indonesian men’s doubles pair, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, in the second round of the 2022 French Open at Stade Pierre de Coubertin, Paris, France, Thursday (27/10/2022).

BOLASPORT.COM – The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) will hold an international mini tournament titled BNI Bright up Cup 2022.

The tournament is scheduled to take place on 10-11 November 2022 at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta.

A number of Indonesian and foreign players took part in the Bright Up Cup 2022 event.

They are the Indonesian men’s doubles pair, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana. Then the men’s singles were Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Jonatan Christie, and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo.

A number of players from neighboring countries who participated were two Malaysian men’s doubles pairs, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik, Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi.

Meanwhile, from the men’s singles sector, there were also two neighboring country players, Ng Tze Yong, Leong Jun Hao, and men’s singles from Thailand, Sitthikom Thammasin.

The chairman of the Bright Up Cup 2022 Organizing Committee, Armand Darmadji, said that this mini tournament was held as preparation for the 2022 BWF World Tour Finals.

“This is the agenda of the PBSI 2022 as a series of tournaments this year. So, this tournament is not an impromptu,” said Armand at the PBSI Press Conference, Thursday (11/3/2022).
