In the “Optibet” Latvian women’s championship, in the game of the week, RVS/LU defeated RSU/MSĂ at home, but in the “Optibet” Latvian men’s championship, the Kuldīgas team won the battle for the third place in the tournament table.
“Optibet” in the Latvian championship for women two victories were celebrated this week RVS/LU, which first defeated “Mārupes SC”, and then also the RSU/MSG unit, the result being also included in the “Optibet” Baltic Women’s Volleyball League (BSVL) competition. Kristīne Kramēna scored 15 points, Maggie Dambrecht 13 and Liva Eber 11 points for the winners. Anna Kovala was the most productive in the RSU/MSG unit with 9 points.
During the weekend, “Mārupes SC” also celebrated two victories at home, defeating “RVS juniors” and VK “Gulbene” volleyball players.
In the eight-team competition, RVS/LU has taken the lead with 14 points in five games, VK “Jelgava” is second with 13 points in six games, while “Mārupes SC” has collected 11 points in six games.
“Optibet” in the Latvian Championship for men on Saturday in the Kuldīga regional sports school, VK “Kuldīga”/Kuldīga NSS defeated “Aizputi” in three sets in the fight for the third place. Dāvis Andersons became the most productive member of the game in the winning team, scoring 19 points, four of which he collected in a block and three – with a serve.
RTU is at the top of the tournament table with 13 points in five matches, champions “Vecumnieki” take second place with ten points in four matches, while Kuldīga’s team has nine and VK “Ventspils” eight points in six matches.
