Arsenal head into the 2022 World Cup break with a sweet ending. The Gunners 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers through a pair of Martin Odegaard goals.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Arsenal match in the Premier League continued at Molineux, Sunday (11/13/2022) early morning hrs. This will be the last match between the two teams before the competition is closed for the 2022 World Cup.

The game was tight, even though Arsenal were more dominant. There was no chance on target from both teams until the first half ended, the score was still 0-0.

Arsenal managed to find a gap in the second half and broke the deadlock in the 55th minute through Odegaard. Odegaard doubled the north London children’s advantage in the 75th minute.

The advantage was successfully maintained until the game was complete, ensuring Arsenal firmly at the top of the Premier League standings with 37 points from 14 matches. They lead by five points from Manchester City.

Wolverhampton are still stuck at the bottom of the standings with 10 points from 15 matches.

The course of the match

Arsenal had directly ripped Wolverhampton’s goal in the sixth minute through the action of Gabriel Jesus. Gabriel Martinelli stabbed in and crossed, which Jesus finished. But the linesman raised the offside flag.

Opportunity for Wolves. They went through and got past Arsenal’s high defense through Boubacar Traore on the right. Traore passes through the middle, but is cut short by Aaron Ramsdale. Adam Traore tries to snatch a wild ball. but was blocked by William Saliba.

Opportunities for Wolves in the 20th minute. The hosts attacked from the right on the counter-attack and the ball was passed to Goncalo Guedes. He then moved to the center and fired, but bounced.

GOAL! Arsenal broke the deadlock in the 55th minute. Jesus stabbed to the left and released a superb through ball for Fabio Vieira. Vieira continued with a cross that was grabbed by Martin Odegaard. The goal was the first shot on target in this match.

Wolves got a free kick in the 61st minute. Guedes directs the ball straight into the goal and can be overcome by Ramdsdale.

Opportunity for Arsenal. Vieira played the ball to Martinelli, followed by a shot that was denied by Jose Sa. The wild ball was then greeted by Odegaard, this time blocked by Tote.

GOAL! Arsenal scored the second goal in the 75th minute. Zinchenko pushed down the left and his cross was not cleared by the Wolves defence.

The ball was found by Martinelli, whose shot was cleared by the goalkeeper. Wild ball rolled to Odegaard, who successfully struck it into the goal.

Threats from Wolves in the 86th minute. Podence found the ball on the left in the box, picked it up and attempted an overhead kick. His efforts ended at the side of the goal.

Wolves snatched the ball in the Arsenal third in the 89th minute. The ball was controlled by Adama Traore, then passed to Podence on the right. Podence’s hard shot was tipped by Ramsdale.

Until the long whistle sounded, the score no longer changed. Arsenal won 2-0.
