The Montrealer, drafted sixth in June, amassed 23 points in the first half. He went 6-for-9 on three-pointers.

Mathurin had scored 32 points on October 29 in Brooklyn, in a 125-116 win for the Pacers.

Monday, the Quebecer had been limited to eight points in a victory for his team against the Pelicans, 129-122.

Nikola Jokic committed five fouls, but still led the Nuggets with 24 points (in 21 minutes). His fifth foul came early in the third quarter.

Jokic added six assists, four rebounds, two steals and a block to help the team claim their fourth straight win.

Aaron Gordon added 18 points and 16 rebounds, while Ontarian Jamal Murray had 18 points and three steals.

Myles Turner of the Pacers missed a three-point shot that would have tied the game late in the game.

Rick Carlisle’s group will host the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night.
