NHL | Pastrňák was named the second best player in October in the NHL

The 26-year-old Pastrňák helped Boston to the best start to the season after nine games in the club’s 98-year history. The Bruins have won eight games and with 16 points are at the top of the NHL standings ahead of Vegas, which has the same number of points but has played one more game.

Pastrňák, the bronze medalist from this year’s World Championship, started the season with a four-goal performance (1+3) against Washington, which he did for the second time in his career as the seventh player in NHL history. The native of Havíř has come out empty-handed in only two matches so far.

Only McDavid surpassed Pastrňák in the productivity of the competition. Edmonton’s captain launched an assault on a third straight Art Ross Trophy for the scoring champions with eight goals and eight assists in nine games.

The three stars of October copy the productivity of the league: the third best player was declared the Russian forward Artemiy Panarin from the New York Rangers, who with a balance of 5+11 from ten duels is third behind McDavid and Pastrňák.
