NFL: 49ers beat Cardinals 38-10 to take lead in West Division

MEXICO – Jimmy Garoppolo totaled four touchdown passes, including two in the direction of tight end George Kittleand the San Francisco 49ers beat the Arizona Cardinals 38 to 10, in the Monday night NFL game.

Little disturbed by the opposing defensive front, ” Jimmy G also handed out two passes for the major to Brandon Aiyuk, as the Arizona secondary had no answer for the Niners’ aerial game.

San Francisco (6-4) thus improves its chances of reaching the playoffs, while the race is tight in the National Association.

In the West Division, the 49ers pass the Seattle Seahawks, who have an identical record. However, Kyle Shanahan’s squad have won all four of their intra-division duels so far.

It was the fifth regular season NFL game played in Mexico City and the first since 2019.

Technically, it was a home game for the Cardinals, but the Estadio Azteca’s cheery, boisterous crowd of 78,427 fans heavily favored the 49ers.

They were particularly deafening when Kittle and Deebo Samuel – the latter by running – netted majors from 39 yards.

Kyler Murraythe Cards’ No. 1 quarterback, was out for the second straight game with a hamstring injury.

Murray was declared inactive for this duel played at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. Sporting a jacket, he was on the pitch during pre-game warm-ups and he was running and throwing the ball.

For a second consecutive, Colt McCoy thus obtained the departure to fill the loss of Murray. The 36-year-old veteran led his club to victory last week against the Los Angeles Rams.

This time it was much different for McCoy, who was limited to 218 passing yards and was the victim of an interception without making a touchdown pass.

McCoy was 3-1 the past two seasons when he had to replace Murray due to injury.
