Another triumph for Novak Djokovic who won the ATP Finals in Turin by beating the Norwegian Ruud 7-5 6-3 in the challenge for the title. The Belgrade tennis player beat Casper Ruud 7-5, 6-3 in one hour and 32 minutes. It is a historic victory for Djokovic, who reaches six career successes at the ATP Finals and thus equals Roger Federer’s record.
Djokovic, triumph after 7 years is even sweeter – “Having waited seven years to get this victory again makes it even sweeter. I have said a thousand times how unusual this season has been, everyone who follows tennis knows it, and so this is a great satisfaction.” Novak Djokovic says it immediately after winning the ATP Finals 2022 in Turin. “I can’t wait to have two weeks of holidays – says the Serbian champion again -. I have been in agitation every week of the year, to know if I could play or to play”, added the Serbian, referring to his choice not to get vaccinated from Covid. “I tried to be very aggressive, and it worked great – added Djokovic speaking of the final won against Ruud -. I’ve wanted the sixth title of these Finals for a long time, and I’m very happy to have managed to finish with an ace: it means that I closed in style”.
