NBA: Pöltl injured in 300th use for San Antonio Spurs

On Saturday (local time), Jakob Pöltl played his 300th game in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the San Antonio Spurs in the regular season. The Viennese was eliminated injured. The Texans had to admit defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers with 138:143 and thus also lost the second duel after the 94:105 from the previous day.

Pöltl had shown a strong performance until his premature exit. In just 9:47 minutes, the Viennese (27) scored twelve points, nine rebounds and one block. Spurs also lost a second player from their starting lineup to injury before the break in rookie forward Jeremy Sochan.

The San Antonio Spurs conceded their eighth consecutive defeat in the best basketball league in the world in the offensive spectacle. The Texans’ best pitcher was Keldon Johnson with 26 points. The Spurs make a guest appearance at the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. On the Lakers side, LeBron James recorded a personal best of the season with 39 points. Among other things, the superstar converted seven out of twelve distance throws.

The Phoenix Suns, leaders of the Western Conference, celebrated their fourth straight win by beating the Utah Jazz 113-112. Center Deandre Ayton was the dominating man on the Arizona team with 29 points and 21 rebounds. Devin Booker contributed 27 points.
