Nadal avoids Djokovic, Tsisipas and Medvedev in the group stage of the ATP Finals

The Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal was framed this Thursday in the green group of the Finals ATP, avoiding three of the favorites like the Serbian Novak Djokovic, the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas and the Russian Daniil Medvedev, who will face each other in the red group.

The ATP made this morning the draw to form the two groups of the season closing tournament and which brings together the eight best rackets on the circuit in Turin (Italy, north) from November 13 to 20.

The Spanish Carlos Alcaraz, current number one in the world, will not be able to finally attend the tournament due to an abdominal injury he suffered in the quarterfinals of the Masters 1,000 in Paris Bercy and, therefore, is at the expense of Nadal and Tsitsipas to maintain his number one status.

The young tennis player from Murcia needs that the Balearic is not a finalist and that the Greek is not proclaimed champion by winning all his matches to continue being at the top of the ranking.

The eight tennis players have already been divided into of the groups and will only qualify the first two of each of them to play the eliminatory phase, composed of a semifinal and a final.

Nadal has been framed in the green group along with the Norwegian Casper Ruud, the American Taylor Fritz and the canadian Happy Auger-Also.

The red group is made up of Djokovic, Tsitsipas, Medvedev and the Russian Andrey Rublev.
