Text: Marco Polisson – They will have had the chance to discover a unique place in preview. At the end of October 2022, around fifty privileged people were able to preview the cozy lounge of the Fumoir George.
From the overflowing imagination and heart stroke of the entrepreneur Simon Hoayek, this space dedicated to lovers of Havana is housed on the top floor of a private mansion from the Napoleon III period located in Vaise. Baptized “The keys of Juliette”, this unique place managed by Karen Finzi is dedicated, in the long term, to B to B events (cocktails, CODIR, corporate meetings).
Le Fumoir George has a large lounge and a bar stocked with fine wines and exceptional spirits.
It operates like a private club, with an annual fee of 2,000 euros excluding tax, and each of the 80 members has their access card and a locker to store their precious bars. In their agenda, each month, a masterclass led by a professional around a unifying theme around the cigar and a spirit (rum, whisky…). Olympic judo champion David Douillet was one of the first to take his card.
The complete renovation of the mansion, entrusted to the architect Bastien Jovelet and the CRC group, will be completed in the spring of 2023.
