López wins the La Nucia rally and Cachón finishes fourth

Hyundai i20N Rally2 by Jose Maria Lopez

José María López Planelles from Madrid with a Hyundai i20 N Rally2 won yesterday in the 28th edition of the Nucia rally (Alicante), the penultimate round scoring for the Spanish Rally Super Championship (S CER), an appointment in which the Asturians present did not have luck on your side. In Friday’s stage, López led Cachón (CITROEN) by 2.8 seconds and both shared the 4 scratches. Third overall was José Antonio Suárez Cohete from Pravia with the Škoda Fabia Rally2 of the Recalvi team. By then, Diego Ruiloba, from Pravia, who was fighting to win the Beka Junior of the Spanish federation, had already suffered three strange “punctures” that made him lose all hope of running in Europe with the support of the CDS and the RFEDA. Yesterday, in the second and final stage, which consisted of 5 sections against the clock, the debacle took away the aspirations of Cachón and Cohete Suárez. This was withdrawn due to electrical failure and the cangués Cachón suffered a slight road trip in which he lost 3 minutes and almost every option to fight for the S CER whose last appointment is held at the end of November in Tenerife. Second in the Alicante test was Efrén Llarena (Škoda) who finished 53 seconds behind the winner. The podium was completed by Alberto Monarri, who was co-piloted by the Asturian Adrian Pérez.
