Lee Zii Jia Gets Sprayed After Failing to Pass BWF World Tour Finals 2022

BOLASPORT.COM – Malaysian men’s singles badminton player, Lee Zii Jia, received harsh criticism after failing to qualify for the 2022 BWF World Tour Finals.

Lee Zii Jia had to accept the harsh reality after his steps had to be stopped in the second round of the 2022 Australian Open.

This defeat made Lee Zii Jia fail to advance to the 2022 World Tour Finals, the final tournament of the BWF World Tour series.

Lee Zii Jia is stuck in ninth place in the Race to Guangzhou rankings. As is known, only the eight best players and pairs will qualify.

For Lee Zii Jia, this failure was a stain on his comeback in 2022, his first year competing as an independent player.

Lee Zii Jia’s achievements are actually not that bad. He won the gold medal at the 2022 Asian Championships and the 2022 Thailand Open last May.

This success helped him rise as the world’s number two men’s singles player.

However, Lee Zii Jia’s performance has actually decreased. In the last six tournaments, he has only once passed the round of 16.

This failure made Lee get criticism. One of them came from the Malaysian badminton legend, James Selvaraj.
