Representatives of the Lasarte-Oria KE (LOKE) judo club directed by Gorka Ariztegi once again stood out last weekend. The most outstanding result was carried out by Asier Sagasti, who in the capital of Vitoria won the bronze medal in the northern sector phase of the Spanish Championship, and with it his qualification for the Spanish Championship to be held in Madrid on Saturday, December 3.
On the other hand, on Sunday in Hondarribia the Gipuzkoa Team Championship was played, and the members of the female children’s LOKE achieved a creditable fifth place. The Lasarteoriatarra team was made up of these judokas: Maria Escribano, Iraia Díez and Anne Linazasoro. Finally, the female LOKE juvenile team, made up of Sofia Pozo, Valeria Llanos, Alba Padrones, Ariane Luis and Ariana Mendoza, was proclaimed the brilliant champion of Gipuzkoa.
On his return, the coach Gorka Aristegi was very happy. «The truth», he commented «is that the results have been very good. The local basketball teams obtained results of all kinds last weekend. Within the provincial Third Division, the Ostadar senior men’s team was defeated at the Astigarraga sports center (67-30) by a much superior Astigarrako Mundarro. The Lasarteoriatarras are ninth out of 10 teams with 7 points.
