After the home defeat against Roda JC (0-1), Dirk Kuijt again criticized the working environment at ADO Den Haag on Wednesday. The harassed trainer is disappointed that confidential information often leaks out quickly.
ADO had a turbulent week. Technical director Daryl Janmaat resigned on Saturday and a few days later Thomas Verheydt and Ricardo Kishna strongly criticized the club. They submitted a transfer request.
“It cost me a lot of energy and it touches me. When everything we do – sometimes in confidence – is out on the street very quickly, you don’t know who you can trust. The situation in which we work with players, trainers and staff from the office and management is very unsafe,” Kuijt said after the game Broadcasting West.
“I have told the players and staff that I trust them 100 percent. But I can imagine that it is difficult to have that confidence when you look at what appears in the media.”
The home defeat against Roda completed the disaster week of Kuijt and ADO. “If you have had to give so much energy for peripheral matters this week, then this is extra painful,” said Kuijt, who had already discussed the chaos at ADO before the match against Roda.
Kuijt denies that there is a high lump sum payment
In recent days there has also been speculation in the media about a high lump sum in Kuijt’s one-year contract, which would make it difficult for ADO to fire the former Orange international.
Kuijt denied that after the loss against Roda in front of the camera ESPN. “I’m not doing this for the money. I get a good salary, of course, but there’s no kind of lump sum payment,” he said.
“I just want to perform as a coach and I think it would be fantastic to do that for ADO. I have said several times that I am combative. In the end it is about what is best for the club and the players. I will always try everything to give.”
Due to the 0-1 defeat against Roda, ADO remained in a painful seventeenth place in the Kitchen Champion Division.
