Basketball superstar Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets is now part of a select circle. Against Portland, the small forward succeeds in what Michael Jordan recently did.

Dhe Brooklyn Nets have won again after two defeats in a row in the North American basketball league NBA and brought in their seventh win of the season. On Thursday (local time), the Nets prevailed over the Portland Trail Blazers with 109:107 (57:61) thanks to Kevin Durant and his 35 points.

In doing so, Durant broke the 30-point mark for the eighth time in his 16th season, and also matched a record set by NBA legend Michael Jordan. Because for Durant it was the 16th game of the season in a row with at least 25 points. The last time Jordan did that was with the Chicago Bulls in the 1988/1989 season. So far, only five players in the NBA, including Durant, have succeeded.

O’Neale scores with final siren

However, it was not Durant who became the match winner, but his teammate Royce O’Neale. After Durant missed a throw in the closing seconds, O’Neale tapped the ball into the basket with 0.7 seconds left in the game for the 109:107 winner.

Superstar Kawhi Leonard was on the floor for the second time this season. Leonard last played on October 23 due to knee problems. In the 96:91 (42:50) of his Los Angeles Clippers against the Detroit Pistons, Leonard (31) remained unremarkable with six points.
