The bearer of Cus Ferrara third in the international trophy “Città di Tolmezzo”
Prestigious bronze medal obtained by Nico Volta, bearer of Cus Ferrara at the 38th International Trophy “Città di Tolmezzo” held last weekend in the sports hall of the center of Friuli and which saw 302 athletes from 64 clubs representing 6 nations compete . In an excellent competition in the demanding senior category -81 kg, Volta loses the first fight against Dandrea then second and enters the repechage pool where a huge escalation begins which leads him to win three fights before the limit against Carpita, Ranis and Rossi , in the final for third place which he won with great determination.
With him on the platform also Joseph Iuliano in his first competition ever in the 90 kg junior category, closed with a seventh place result of the defeat in the first match by an Austrian and in the repechage against the Italian Martin. The great satisfaction and emotion remain for the debut in a major event.
For Filippo Santi (category 60 kg Cadets) return to the races after a long stop dictated by the pandemic. In a very difficult draw he went out in the first round against Udinese Alessio Esposito. Also for him a great experience in view of the next races.
