Javi Vázquez, new coach of UP Langreo

Langreo has reached an agreement with Javier Vázquez, who will take over the management of the first team until the end of the season as a substitute for Roberto Robles. At 36, the Madrid coach will face his first experience in the Second RFEF and in Asturias. Javi Vázquez parted ways with Panathinaikos “B” last June, a club he joined from Real Madrid’s youth “B”. The man from Madrid also has a past at Unión Adarve, which he directed in the Third Division until the stoppage due to the pandemic. He is now committed to the Unión Popular de Langreo, an adventure in which he will be accompanied by Pablo Acebal as second coach.

Javi Vázquez is a 36-year-old coach from Madrid. He took his first steps as a coach at Alapardo, before making the leap to Unión Adarve. There he directed the youth in the Division of Honor, achieving permanence on the last day. His great season allowed him to make the leap to the first team in the summer of 2019. In his debut in the Third Division, Javi Vázquez kept the team in second position until the stoppage due to the pandemic. The following course he was recruited by Real Madrid. The coach assumed the direction of the youth “B” of the merengue team, with which he was proclaimed champion of the National League. Last season he faced his first experience away from Spain at Panathinaikos “B”. In the Greek subsidiary he remained until June of this year.

Now he commits to the Langreans for the remainder of the season. Langreo currently occupies the fifteenth position with 11 points, four of the positions of permanence. Pablo Acebal, who led the team on an interim basis, will continue to serve as assistant coach.
