Japanese Fans Given 2 Weeks Off to Watch Pildun, The Company: Enjoy Yes!

Doha

Japanese fans went viral because of the ‘Thank You’ banner to their boss who gave them 2 weeks off to watch the 2022 World Cup. His company also gave a response.

The official account @FIFAWorldCup uploaded a photo of the Japanese national team militant fan. The unidentified man unfurled a simple handwritten banner that read: ‘Dear My Boss, Thank you for My 2 Week Off’.

If interpreted in Indonesian, it roughly means: ‘To my boss, Thank you for taking my 2 weeks off.’

Of course the banner was quite intriguing, because so far, it’s been common knowledge, if you work for a Japanese company, taking time off is very difficult.

Boro-boro to watch the 2022 World Cup live in Qatar, just for a short healing vacation, the work culture in Japan doesn’t normalize that.

So if a Japanese company were to give their workers 2 weeks off to watch the 2022 World Cup live in Qatar, then that would be considered an extraordinary anomaly.

But in the end, the company where the viral Japanese fans work, opened their voices. The company even fully supports its workers who provide total support for the Japanese National Team.

“Please enjoy your vacation and the World Cup! From your boss (Please enjoy your vacation and the World Cup! From your boss),” tweeted @NTTeastofficial.

Apparently the Japanese fans earlier were employees of NTT East or Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation, a communications technology company from Japan.

Travelers have also praised NTT East’s policy of giving 2 weeks leave to employees who want to watch the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Netizens also praised the generosity of the boss who had Acceded the employee’s leave request.

“Things like this make me so happy,” tweeted @kaishokukyofu.

“Hopefully this is the start for Japanese companies to pay more attention to their employees and continue to give them permission to enjoy their holidays, because working in Japan can be very demanding and stressful at times,” commented @ishikawarosario.
