Rodrigo is a 22-year-old man from Concordia. He practices archery, a sport that grows every year in our city. With his father, one day in 2021 they saw a group of boys practicing, as they liked it, they approached to talk to the teacher who was teaching the class and told him about their interest and their desire to participate in this sport. Thus begins a path of motivation and personal achievement for Rodrigo. The practices are in the CEF 4 facilities, in the Sports Center and his teacher is Alberto Pissaco.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. his father takes him to practices and highlights the camaraderie he found in this discipline.
Among his motivations is the concentration he has to have so that the shots come out, as he puts it, as clean as possible. He has participated in 2 provincial competitions this year. One in Paraná and another in Gualeguaychú. In both tournaments in which he participated, he emerged as Entre Ríos champion in his category. His dream is, at some point, to be part of the Argentine National Team.
As a message for the boys who do not know this discipline, Rodrigo says not to miss the opportunity to practice it, since it is a sport that requires precision, control, concentration, repetition and determination skills. It is a sport that can be practiced regardless of age and is a very good hobby.
An anecdote that he remembers, that gives him a lot of pride, was after the first provincial tournament in Paraná, throwing 20 meters, in that instance he found out through his teacher that the score he had made in that tournament allowed him to move up in category, which is where he is currently shooting at 30 meters. At first it was difficult for him to adapt, but little by little he is surpassing his own limits, which is a great motivation for him to continue in this sport.
In addition to Archery, Rodrigo is doing an Audiovisual Production course that helps him learn to edit photos and videos, which he also likes a lot, as it allows him to develop his creativity. He likes to go out with his family, walk around the lake, the hot springs, the waterfront, go downtown and also travel. He is an enthusiastic young man who, with his desire to improve himself, encourages us to move forward despite the difficulties we may have.
