Hornets take duel of decimated teams, beat 76ers

CHARLOTTE (AP) — Terry Rozier scored 9 of his 22 points in the final five minutes and the Charlotte Hornets came from behind to beat the Philadelphia 76ers 107-101 on Wednesday night in a matchup of injury-plagued teams.

Charlotte, which trailed by 13 points in the first half, picked up its second win in 13 games and ended a three-game losing streak.

Philadelphia was without three starters — Joel Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey — but did have Shake Milton, De’Anthony Melton, Montrezl Harrell and Tobias Harris.

Milton had 22 points, Melton 20, Harris 19 and Harrell 16 for Philadelphia. Harrell played in a game for the first time in Charlotte since the franchise let him leave last summer in free agency.

PJ Washington finished with 19 points, Kelly Oubre 14 and Nick Richards had 13 points and 13 rebounds for Charlotte.

The Hornets were without starting guard LaMelo Ball and backup Cody Martin and lost guard Dennis Smith Jr. in the second quarter with a sprained left ankle.

Charlotte has also been without Terry Rozier and forward Gordon Hayward since the start of the season.
