Hidalgo, with a victory in the national Sub 13 – El Sol de Hidalgo

The Hidalgo basketball team that competed in the Under 13 National Basketball Championship, which takes place in Hermosillo, Sonora, finished the first phase of the tournament with one win and two losses.

The quintet led by Julio Cerón had their best performance in their debut, as they thrashed Zacatecas 61-19, in a commitment that had César Cerón as the top scorer, with 19 points, the same situation as Carlos Romero.

The second commitment, against Tabasco, was more even, and the entity fell by 13 points, since they could not rebuild after a very uneven initial period. In the end, in said commitment Ían Pérez was the best in front of the hoop, since he contributed 19 points.

However, for the closing of the group stage, the Hidalgo team had a tough test, as they competed against the State of Mexico, a squad that marked differences throughout the match and left the state teams on the canvas 69-26. Said engagement took place at the Unison Gym.

With the couple of falls in the first phase, the entity’s team will only wait for the results of the rest of the groups to meet their rival within the placement series, from places 17 to 27.
