Hadamczik reveals the plans. Plekanec, Jágr or Šmíd will help the national teams

What’s up with the national teams?

The coaches from 16 to 20 will be professionals who will be at the camps, and if not, they will go around the clubs watching the players and giving us a report on how they are performing. Players will see that we are interested in them. We will get the clubs more money for coaches to pay them so that they are not on the ice for an hour and then go to drive a taxi or work as a waiter. We want to convince parents that it is not worth sending boys abroad. That the training process is correct and there is no point in paying for extra camps.

We will oversee that process. The players will be tested before and after the summer training, and the national team coaches will have an overview that the condition is improving. I like Rulík (twenties coach) described that we are physically 30-40 percent worse than some teams. Fitness is the foundation.

The coaches of the national teams will therefore be full-time.

Yes, there can only be an exception for twenty. We want a coach there who will have experience with the league. We would like a coach like Radim Rulík, who will have full-time assistants with him. We’ll see how Radim decides next. He makes it the head coach of Pardubice. He is an experienced coach, a man in the right place, but we don’t know how he feels and sees the future. We will have an interview with him. But we want to involve our biggest hockey personalities in the education of young representatives.

I spoke with Plekanec, Jágr, Židlický, Šmíd, Šlégr and Jarda Nedvěd. The list is wider and there are about ten names in each category. They are personalities who didn’t want anything and just want to help Czech hockey. Maybe a twenty-something will have a week-long camp. Two guys will arrive who will prepare a training session for the attackers, and Plekanec will discuss with them the position on the bullpen and the game in the offensive zone. In the second half, the defenders will be under the supervision of Šlégr and Židlický. For the players, they are idols and I’m glad that the personalities see it positively, even if the guys were surprised by the offer. I told them: You have accomplished something, so come and pass it on.

I came up with the idea that the 16’s cabin should be as equipped as the 20’s so that the players have respect, motivation and see what they can lose. It may happen that trainers make a nomination, find out after a short test that someone has not followed the training process or is overweight. So they send him home and give him a letter telling him what was wrong. We also want to remotely monitor the intensity of training via the Polar application so that the national team coach has an overview. We will try to get the test devices into the clubs. Radim Rulík came up with it and something similar works in Finland or Sweden. We still want to preserve the identity of Czech hockey, but this is good.

What else do you have planned?

I want FTVS and Zdenek Vojt (association methodology), so that there is more pressure on coaches when they do coaching schools. I want them to have proper education on how to treat children and what methods they use. We want stubborn coaches for hockey and not those who otherwise have no job. We want to support them with a salary so that they can devote themselves fully to hockey.

HADAMCZIK AND THE WAR
At the same time, Alois Hadamczik once again commented on the ban on representing players from the KHL. It concerns the pair Yaškin – Červený, who signed a contract in Russia after the start of the aggression. “It’s a touchy subject overall. However, when we issued a statement as an executive committee, we mentioned that it was players who signed it before the war. You know, war is a terrible thing. Killing people and everything that goes with it… Our whole the country’s approach to this is that we make it clear that we don’t agree. If someone knows there’s a war, they go there for money and then we don’t take them, fine. But if a hockey player signed a contract before the war… They won’t let you go because they have a signed transfer card, what can the player do? He has a salary there, he cannot play elsewhere… We have to respect the fact that the player did not violate any moral things.”

The coach of the senior national team nominated a relatively strong team for the first Euro Hockey Tour tournament. What do you say about its composition?

So we can’t go to the game because we don’t care. We are going to the market in front of the whole nation, and we must want to win every game in the national team. We can’t say we had five youngsters there and that’s why we lost. In front of the spectators and sponsors, we will want to play every match with maximum effort so that we do not have to be ashamed of it.

How do you like Jalonen offering cooperation to extraleague coaches? That he goes to their trainings and now he invited them to Budějovice to see his work again.

Whether it was me, Vladimír Růžička or Ivan Hlinka, I spent Sundays, Tuesdays, Fridays in the winter… Of course I watched the players, talked to them, we knew about everyone’s state of health. I had a connection with the coaches. That Kari wants to talk to the coaches is correct, but the question is how many coaches really want to come to Budějovice. About five of them have been registered so far. That the coach goes after the matches is the essence of his job. He has to know what kind of player he wants, why he wants him, if he is left-handed, right-handed, short or tall, and if he fits into his system. He has enough people around him to consult with. If he wants, I will also tell him my opinion, but I will definitely not impose it on him, because I didn’t like it either.
