Daniela Catalá Puig, from Gandia, has been proclaimed the provincial tennis champion in the juvenile category with her team, the Club Algetenis de Algemesí.
In the championship played at the facilities of the CD Peñacañada in La Canyada (València), the group in which Daniela plays did not give any of their rivals a chance.
In the group stage, they beat CT Alzira and CT Racer Almussafes 5-0 and CD Saladar de Silla 4-1. Already in the final phase they got rid of CT Valencia 5-0, beat the Spanish CT Valencia by the same score and, in the final, the host club, CD Peñacañada, 4-1.
Together with Daniela Catalá Puig from Gandía, the architects of this success are Alejandro Pous, Diego Escutia, Arnau Girbés, Patricia Gomar and the captain and director of the Algetenis Club school, Salva Ramón.
Daniela is 11 years old, has been playing since she was 6 and has already won several individual tournaments.
