First day of the Escolares de Huesca in badminton

This Saturday took place in the IES Pirámide de Huesca pavilion the first provincial day of the Badminton School Age Sports Games, that they go for their forty edition, corresponding to the first phase.

More than sixty players from all clubs and categories participated in Huesca from Sub 11 to Sub 17. The podiums were widely distributed among the Alto Aragonese clubs, which were Badminton Huesca, Badminton Binéfar, Badminton Barbastro, VV Osca and Asociación Opozal de Almudévar.

As for the champions and finalists of this first day, in the category of the smallest, the Sub 11, Cristian Faulo, from Opozal Almudévar, and Ixeia Escartín, from Badminton Huesca, won the individual draws, while Lorenzo Dieste and Sescun Fernández, both from Badminton Huesca, were second. In double, victory for the Binéfar couple formed by Hugo Arias and Amai Berguices and second place for Alex Acín and Cristian Faulo, from Opozal.

in category Sub 13 the individual victories went to Miguel Nieto and Nerea Marco, from Binéfar, who together also won the mixed doubles Seconds were Guillermo Fernández and Silvia Lanzarote, both from Huesca, and in mixed Noa Bernués and Daniel Paul, from the same club. Also in women’s doubles the couple formed by María Casales and Amanda Dieste, from Huesca, prevailed, and Lucía Colay was second along with Ingrid Martínez, from Barbastro.

In Sub 15 Only two modalities were played, in the men’s singles double of Badminton Huesca with Iker Allue first and Iván Sopena second, and victory in the mixed for María Pilar Martínez and Darío Vilaplana, from Binéfar.

Finally, in category Sub 17 Binéfar achieved the men’s victory with Hugo Montiu and the men’s and women’s finalist positions with Diego Nieto and Pilar Martínez respectively. The female painting it was won by Carla García, from Badminton Huesca. And in doubles, men’s victory for Montiu and Nieto and second place for the couple formed by Nicolás Quintilla from Binefar and Gonzalo Ibort, from Opozal. and in the women’s doubles, victory for Carla García and Carla Olivares, from Huesca, and second place for Berta Giribet and Leyre Planella, from Binéfar.
