FC Bayern: worth a quarter of a billion? Matthew compares Musiala to Messi | Sports

One can’t stop raving about it!

Record national player Lothar Matthäus (61) distributed a gigantic praise for Jamal Musiala (19) after Bayern’s 2-0 win over Schalke. The international stands out with two templates and some powerful actions.

That’s why Matthew even compares him to Lionel Messi (35)!

Matthäus’ mega praise on Sky: “When you see what he’s doing here – the heel trick on Gnabry (at 1: 0, ed.), the dream pass in the run at Choupo-Moting (at 2: 0, ed.). It enchants us all. He just entertains us. This is Hollywood. I want to see this player on the pitch every time.”

And further: “What he did after that is magic, that’s Messi-like. It’s crazy, this man must never leave Bavaria.”

Matthäus thinks of a scene in the 67th minute: It’s absolutely crazy how Musiala almost scored a sensational 3-0! He takes the ball under pressure from two Schalke players perfectly, defends it and brings it into the goal with excellent technique – but offside!

Then Matthew knocks another one out!

When it comes to the transfer fee a club would have to pay for Musiala (contract until 2026), according to Matthäus only an “immoral offer” would suffice: “I say a quarter of a billion. He is not for sale. This player has to stay with Bayern.”

After such a song of praise from the record national player, there are not many superlatives left! Coach Julian Nagelsmann (35) is also delighted with Musiala.

The coach: “He listens well, he wants to develop. He has also improved a lot when it comes to defensive diligence. He’s lucky with the ball in many situations. The ball often falls in front of his feet, he gets a lot of rebounds because he moves extremely fast and has extremely fast feet. His legs are like snake legs.”

And further: “He played an outstanding first half of the season and will hopefully play the World Cup and the second half of the season the same way. Basically only an injury can stop him, otherwise he will continue to perform as he has in the last few weeks.

Hopefully at the World Cup too!
