The Simpsons have done the impossible again.
Elon Musk sheds light on a 2015 episode of the Fox animated sitcom that apparently hinted at his Twitter takeover.
“Simpson’s Predicts I’m Buying Twitter S26E12,” Musk, 51, tweeted Saturday.
The episode, titled “The Musk Who Fell to Earth,” begins by showing Lisa Simpson tending to a birdhouse with a sign that reads “Home Tweet Home.” She is feeding baby birds when a bald eagle grabs and kills them.
As the eagle flies away, Musk arrives in his rocket. Plane fire incinerates eagle – a longtime US emblem
“Get ready, family. We are about to meet a being with intelligence far beyond our own,” Homer Simpson says before ordering Bart to grab his baseball bat.
Musk takes off his space helmet and identifies himself: “Hello, I’m Elon Musk.”
Homer throws the bat at her head. Lisa yells, “Dad, no! Elon Musk is perhaps the greatest living inventor.
The camera pans to a new state-of-the-art birdhouse that has attracted several birds.
“I guess humanity wants their change one birdhouse at a time,” Lisa says as Musk climbs back aboard his ship.
The Simpsons have long been known for predicting future scenarios in real life.
Fans of ‘The Simpsons’ are also convinced that the show predicted England and America’s sad 0-0 draw for the 2022 World Cup which took place on Friday.
In the 1997 episode “The Cartridge Family”, the family watches a TV commercial for a match that will determine “which nation is the greatest on Earth”, but seconds into the action, Homer is heard shouting ” boring!”
A number of other predictions that eventually came true include Donald Trump’s presidential run in 2024 and Germany lifting the World Cup in 2014.
