The Madrid team, which breaks his streak of five days without winningwas much more effective than his rival, who was unable to take advantage of Amavi’s expulsion, 12 minutes from the end, or a penalty taken by Lucas Boyé in the closing stages to salvage at least one point.

Both teams approached the game with excessive defensive precautions and without running the slightest risk given the significance of the points at stake.

Elche tried to shorten the paths to the Getafe area with a direct gamewhile his rival, under the baton of Milla and Aleñá in midfield, proposed a more articulated and leisurely game.

Getafe had the first chance of the match, after a quarter of an hour, after a wall of vertigo between Ünal and Mayoral, but the latter’s shot found an agile response from Edgar Badía.

With the passing of the minutes Elche managed to balance the game and tilt it towards the Getafe area through the depth of Lirola and long shots, but without creating any real danger on David Soria’s goal. In the final stretch of the first act Elche took a step forward, increased its intensity and pushed Getafe against his area, but again without a shot.

The passage through the changing rooms did not disconnect the local team, which returned to haunt the goal in the early stages of the second act after a header from Bigas, after a corner kick, which went wide.

Getafe’s response could not have been more forceful, since a cross from Aleñá, passively defended by the local defense, was sent into the net by Ünal with a shot with the inside of the foot.

Getafe’s goal broke down Elchewhose self-esteem was already rock bottom, and angered his fans, who at times lost patience and faith in their team.

Almirón changed the system and brought Ponce into the team to give him more offensive bite to your team. Elche, wounded in their pride, went upstairs against a Getafe that took a step back waiting to sentence the counter.

Pere Milla and Lucas Boyé put the team on their backs and Elche insistently hovered around the goal.

Amavi’s expulsion, 10 minutes from the end, gave Elche some lifewho found oxygen in the hands of Luis Milla that the referee indicated as a penalty.
