The French international shooting guard will complement the Menorcan squad with his experience and quality
Edwin Jackson (Pau, France; 1989/ 1.90 m) is already a Hestia Menorca player. The French shooting guard has decided to continue his extensive and successful sports career at the Menorcan club a few months after joining JSF Nanterre of the LNB (maximum French competition).
Whoever became international with his team returns to Spanish basketball, where he has completed six seasons divided into three teams: Unicaja de Málaga, FC Barcelona and Movistar Estudiantes; the latter two, in several stages.
«I am very happy to compete again, in addition to doing it under the orders of Javier Zamora and with many players with whom I have a special relationship, as is the case with Nacho, who was my partner. I want to start, ”Jackson himself confesses.
His record holds a Copa del Rey with the blaugrana entity in 2018 and a World Cup with France (2014), as well as, in a personal capacity, having been the top scorer and member of the best five of the ACB in the 2016-2017 season with the student cadre.
“Edwin is a player of highly proven quality and experience who will help us in every way, but the most important thing is that we incorporated a person of exceptional human quality into the project and who is a luxury for any organization”, values Zamora, who is reunited with Jackson, this time in the insular locker room.
«We had a thorn in our side since our last season together I couldn’t enjoy him due to an injury, he being the captain and one of the team’s references. He will be a support for the youngsters and I am sure that he will get involved in the project and on the island at all levels”, concludes the Madrid coach.
Jackson joins the Hestia Menorca squad that maintains all its players, allowing it to continue working on improving the team’s performance and strengthening its human quality.
