Duguid extends at MHR until 2025

The young Canadian second line Tyler Duguid has extended his contract until 2025 in Montpellier, the Hérault club announced on Tuesday.

Duguid, 22 years old and from Edmonton (Canada), joined Montpellier in the summer of 2020 after a season in Narbonne, in Pro D2. Coming from the training center, he will turn professional at the end of the season.

«He is a player from the academy, who has been JIFF since this season and who has more and more playing time. It is part of the club’s policy to bring up high-potential players from our academySatisfied manager Philippe Saint-André.

This powerful second line (119 kg for 1.97 m) has played seven games since the start of the season, including two as a starter, in the combined absence of international Paul Willemse and Bastien Chalureau.

Montpellier occupies 7th place in the Top 14 at the end of the 10th day and its success in Toulon (16-26).
