Deportivo Pasto denounces attack on coach Flabio Torres with a bottle from the stands | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

The defeat of Deportivo Pasto at the Libertad stadium, at the hands of Águilas Doradas with a goal by Marco Pérez, generated discomfort among the fans who came to accompany the team. Such was the annoyance that at the end of the game they made strong reproaches to coach Flabio Torres, who was also attacked with an object thrown from the stands.

This Wednesday, the club reported on its social networks that the coach is in good health and that they will do an investigation to identify the aggressor. The volcanic team is third in Group B of the home runs, where it adds one point (it came from tying with DIM). With the 0-1 in Pasto, Águilas remained firm in the lead with 6 units.

“Deportivo Pasto categorically rejects the acts of physical and verbal violence that occurred yesterday at the Libertad stadium in the framework of the second date of the final home runs of the Betplay League (…) They had as a consequence, the impact of a bottle on the head of our technical director Flabio Torres and that fortunately did not lead to a major outcome,” the statement said.

The volcanic club specified that the coach was fortunately spared from the aggression: “Our strategist is in good health and focused on preparing and planning the following commitments.”

Finally, Deportivo Pasto indicated that “these are attacks that, without generalizing, came from one of our own fans and that they should not take place against any soccer actor,” and that the club “will carry out an exhaustive investigation to identify the aggressor of this unfortunate event and apply the most exemplary sanctions”.
