The fact that Hugo does not know exactly what happened to Nicole also gnaws. The friends say that on the night Nicole died, she followed Hugo “on her sloefkes” on the stairs. Suddenly she fell and Hugo saw her lying at the bottom of the stairs. But what happened behind his back, Hugo does not know.
Christel and Didier then immediately arrived and stayed until the ambulance came to collect Nicole. After Nicole passed away, Hugo spent three nights with Christel and Didier.
Christel and Didier have a Nicole and Hugo museum in their attic. But soon they will move and there is no room for the museum at the new location. They are still looking for a place for it.
Nicole Josy died on November 4, 2022 in the University Hospital of Brussels from the consequences of a skull fracture. She had suffered this after a fall down the stairs in her home.
