Club NXT starts again after 1 in 12 with victory against underage Dender | Challenger Pro League 2022/2023

After a 1 out of 12, Club Brugge’s youngsters yearned for a victory and they didn’t have to wait long to celebrate. Audoor headed a corner kick straight at goalkeeper Xavier Gies, but he was too surprised to turn the ball around.

Club NXT, which is not always very efficient with its chances this season, now saw the goals go in smoothly; Romeo Vermant, the son of ex-Club player Sven Vermant, aimed in the left corner not much later.

On the stroke of half-time, an immature Dender was able to strike back. With Richarlison’s World Cup goal in mind, Kjetil Borry took a nice bicycle kick: 2-1. A connection goal with a sour aftertaste, because in the meantime Lallemand got red for a hit.

With one man more, Club NXT was able to extend its lead in the second half. Cisse Sandra first headed incomprehensibly wide, but couldn’t miss a rebound moments later. A free kick by Arne Engels disappeared via the post and goalkeeper Gies’ back into goal for the 4-1.
