New York (AP) – – The Brooklyn Nets from the North American basketball league have released head coach Steve Nash from his duties. The Nets announced that a decision should be made in the near future on who will train the club in the future.

General Manager Sean Marks recognized Nash’s work as he faced unprecedented challenges. The decision to part with the 48-year-old ex-professional was extremely difficult, but a change was necessary at this point.

After a weak start, there was more excitement about star player Kyrie Irving. After Irving did not want to be vaccinated against the corona virus and was therefore only available to a limited extent, he recently caused a stir with a tweet about a film criticized as anti-Semitic. The club had distanced itself from Irving’s statements. Another star on the team, Kevin Durant, spoke out against Nash over the summer.
