Hector Bellerin He is not having all the prominence he expected when he signed for Barcelona this past summer. The Catalan arrived to replace the departure of Sergiño Dest and take over the right wing, something that has not happened so far this season. However, the footballer is happy when he returns to the club where he trained and assures that he would like to extend his contract, which expires on June 30. «I want to renew with Barça, I am happy here and I want to continue for longer”, he explained on ‘Catalunya Radio’. “I am so happy to be here. It’s a dream I’ve always had. It was the first full 90 minutes I’ve had all season. It’s not much filming, but I’m happy », he added in reference to last Tuesday’s game against Viktoria Plzen. “For me it was very important to return. When you have grown up here, at La Masía, it is your greatest dream. Had had opportunities in the past but, for one thing or another, it had not arrived,” he said.

Bellerín also analyzed the moment the team is going through, eliminated from the Champions League in the group stage but in the upper zone of the League classification. “Football is not neither white nor black, there are many aspects and situations that can affect a team and that are reflected in the result. The team signed a lot this summer, we are also having many injuries and a project like this needs time to start getting results”, he said before justifying this start to the season by comparing himself with other great teams: “I always set the example of Klopp with Liverpool and Guardiola with City. They did not win when they arrived at their teams in England and in the end there have been two winning projects. In the team we have enthusiasm and things well done take time. We trust Xavi one hundred percent, he is the ideal coach for Barça.”

The side also addressed personal issues and explained the reasons why he decided to go to England. «Sometimes life gives you opportunities and, at that moment, I felt that it was an opportunity that life gave me. I like to live things as I feel them », she pointed out, to recall his experience in London:« I enjoyed the situation from the first moment. I learned a totally different football than what I was used to and I enjoyed the experience. When go out of home and you know another culture, another way of thinking, of politics, of culture. She lived in a multicultural city, with a lot of personal expression. Here I lived in Calella and it opened my mind a lot. has had a lot influence into the person I am.”

Bellerin acknowledges that now “I live a very normal life.” «I drink coffee in the bar below my house. I don’t want my job to decide the way I have to to live. I have come to the conclusion that the more you normalize your life, the more normal people see it. The first day they took me out Photosnow they must think ‘he’s here again, isn’t he at home?’”, he adds.
