At the Bavarian Judo Championship for the U13s of the Bavarian Judo Association (BJV), Amir Abdurakhmanov, who lives in Ebnath, took first place in the weight class up to 57 kilograms. He started for the Marktredwitz Judo Club and won the title of Bavarian Champion. His friend Andrii Danylov, who also lives in Ebnath at the moment, took third place in the weight class up to 44 kilograms. At a small ceremony in the Gasthof Bergblick, friends and relatives as well as Valeria Pausch and Anita Heindl congratulated her. The landlady of the Gasthof Bergblick, Valeria Pausch, who was born in the Ukraine herself, takes care of the well-being of the refugees from her homeland on a voluntary basis. Anita Heindl, contact person at the Tirschenreuth district office for accommodation, was pleased that the young people were able to connect to life in Germany through sport. In order to be even better integrated into village life in Ebnath, Ukrainians will offer food specialties from their homeland at the so-called Winter Magic in Ebnath on Sunday, December 11th. The proceeds will then be donated to help in their home countries.
