Basketball and volleyball from Durango to the World Cup in Bulgaria – El Sol de Durango

The women’s basketball team of the Durango Masters category will be at the World Workers’ Games that will take place in Bulgaria 2023, as well as women’s volleyball in the Free category.

Durango, represented by the Section 88 Health Union, won third place in the National Workers’ Games contest that took place in Oaxtepec, Morelos, thus ensuring their place in the international phase.

The team is made up of Elva Karina Rangel López, Gloria Elia González Rojas, Katia Vanessa Ontiveros Corral, Lorena Torres Reyes, Luz Eugenia Unzueta Ramírez, María Isabel Carrillo Martínez, Rosalina Ramírez Núñez and Bertha Daniela Pantoja Ríos.

For the National Games, they went with the direct support of the Section 88 Health Union, as well as INDET Durango and the State Sports Institute (IED).

With the representation of Constructora Mojica, the women’s volleyball team finished with third place in the Free category and thus also third place for the World Games.

The Durango volleyball players are Clarissa Herrera, Karla Fernández Richter, Fátima Estefanía Saucedo Hernández, Arely Mariela Sánchez Guerrero, Getsbael Yareli Quinteros Flores, Leslie Carolina Quinteros Flores, Wendy Sarahi Herrera Jiménez, Esthela Ibonne Tafoya, Niria del Carmen Hernández and Mayra Sosa Salas.

Those trained by Mario Ávalos Triana, played against Baja California Sur and Nuevo León in the first round, in the quarterfinals they were against Sonora, in the semifinal against Tamaulipas where they lost and for third place they faced Nuevo León.
