Barcelona-Manchester United is the biggest squatter in the Europa League intermediate round | Europa League

Barcelona-Manchester United have an unmistakable Champions League odour, but the two rebuilding teams will now face each other in another European cup for the first time in over 30 years.

The last meeting between the two top clubs dates back to 2019, when Barcelona (then with Messi) wiped the floor with United (1-0 and 3-0) in the CL quarter-finals.

The other big names largely stayed out of each other’s way. With Union Berlin, Ajax draws the number 2 from the group of the Belgian Union, which as group winner may skip this intermediate phase.

Philippe Clement can go with his Monaco to Leverkusen, the number 3 in the group of Club Brugge, while Juventus is paired to Nantes. Sevilla, record holder in terms of final victories in the Europa League, is presented with a serious test with PSV.
