Badminton matches to recruit

to Barjouville. Pôle Emploi organized an operation. The mayor of Barjouville, Benoît Delatouche, and the Chartres basin team of Pôle emploi, have invested a lot in organizing this first day of recruitment of a new kind, called Stade vers l’emploi, which took place on Tuesday, at the André-Ouaggini sports complex.

The initial idea is simple: companies and job seekers get to know each other, completely anonymously, during sporting events.

Teams made up of recruiters and candidates, in which no one knows who is who and who does what, competed all morning in badminton matches, the sport selected for this first edition.

“Badminton is a mixed sport, fun and accessible to all. It fits perfectly with the organization of such an operation,” explained Cédric Grosjean, strategic director of the Centre-Val-de-Loire badminton league.

One hundred candidates for twenty companies

He came accompanied by the leaders and technicians of the league and the Eure-et-Loir committee to supervise the meetings.

The event brought together around twenty companies, with recruitment needs for a wide variety of professions, such as the gendarmerie, and around a hundred candidates, without a minimum professional or sporting level, and having previously been accompanied by the Pôle emploi agency of the Chartres basin. The morning sports session was followed by a job dating in the afternoon.

While it is premature to take stock of the day, the Pôle emploi team notes that feedback is generally positive on this type of operation.

For its part, the SADS Domicile association selected two applications at the end of the day, corresponding to its needs. She was looking for people who knew how to show kindness, empathy and sharing.
