The A Estrada Badminton Club has added five medals in the Spanish Under-19 Championship that was held this weekend in Palencia. Nikol Carulla, Rodrigo Sanjurjo and Hugo Domínguez made history for the Estrada team with a great performance that confirms Galicia among the best academies in Spain.
Nikol Carulla took gold in the individual competition, and in the women’s doubles with his partner from As Neves, Lucía Rodríguez. Finally, he got the silver medal in the mixed doubles with Rodrigo Sanjurjo. The man from Estrada, in addition to this gold, won the gold medal in the men’s doubles with his partner Ricardo Rettig. Lastly, Hugo Domínguez takes the bronze medal along with his teammate from San Amaro Samuel Santabaya. The expedition from Estrada was completed by Manu Miguez, who this time had no option for medals.
From the club they congratulated all Galician badminton with Rodrigo Sanjurjo and Rafa Vázquez at the helm, for this success. Next weekend Iziar Barcala and Dario Míguez will close the season with the Spanish Under-15 championship in Huelva.
