Atp Finals: Casper Ruud will beat Novak Djokovic – Tennis

Casper Ruud will challenge Novak Djokovic in the final of the ATP Finals in Turin. The Norwegian dominated the semifinal against Andrej Rublev, winning 2-0 with partial scores of 6-2, 6-4 in just one hour and eight minutes of play. “I played one of the best tennis of my life, I didn’t think I could get this far” said a very excited Ruud at the end of the match. Thus the Norwegian will compete for the trophy against Djokovic, the final is scheduled for tomorrow evening at the Pala Alpitour.

Djokovic’s first words at the end of the semi-final that saw him win against Fritz are for the public. “First of all, thank you for coming and for the support – he said -, he felt on the court, especially in the last points of the second set. I hope you enjoyed”. Analyzing the match, “I always ask myself – he said – for a high level and today I wasn’t feeling very well. He has one of the strongest serves in the world, it wasn’t easy to answer, but at the right moments I read what he wanted to do. There was a lot of tension, but in the end I managed to win, I am very happy and proud“.
