ATP Challenger Maia 2022 Draw

Between November 28 and December 4, a new edition of the Maia Challenger will be held in that Portuguese city. This event belongs to the ATP Challenger circuit, has category 80 and is played on the indoor clay courts of the Complexo Municipal de Ténis da Maia. Share week with Maspalomas.

The Challenger circuit brings its huge 2022 season to a close, and one of the two venues for the final week of action is the northern Portuguese city of Maia. This contest is in its fifth edition, after being held in 2019. Throughout the different editions, champions such as Jozef Kovalik, the local Pedro Sousa or Geoffrey Blancaneaux have passed, while the defending champion is the Taiwanese Chun-hsin Tseng, absent now.

The top seed is the Portuguese Nuno Borgesfinalist in 2021, followed by the Austrian Yuri Rodionov and for the swedish Elias Ymer. The French Geoffrey Blancaneaux, also champion last year in one of the two tournaments that were played there, appears as the fourth seed. In addition, the Argentine nationalized Italian Luciano Darderialso says present as one of the seeded.
