At just 14 years old, a Gualeguaychuense was a figure in the Argentine National Team that won the South American Cup – El Día de Gualeguaychú

Argentina won the South American U15 title undefeated, with the exclusive figure of the Central Entrerriano player, Isabella Boullón Faifer, who in the final match, where the national team defeated Colombia 66-61, dispatched with a scoresheet of 22 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks. Milagros Motell, from Santa Fe, scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while Sol Depetris scored 12 goals.

Argentina had clearly defeated Brazil 60-37 in the semifinals, where again Isabella Boullón Faifer stood out with 15 points and 5 rebounds.

The player from Gualeguaychú was part of the ideal quintet of the championship, also being chosen as the MVP of the final. The ideal quintet was made up of the Colombian María Pérez, the Brazilian Sther Ubaka, the Bolivian Sofía Reyes and Isabella Boullón Faifer, who averaged 12.2 points and 5 rebounds throughout the tournament.

With this title, Argentina managed to repeat the consecration achieved in the same category in 2016 and added one of the tickets to play the Premundial U16 next season, with the same base of players that was consecrated in Chile.
