An emotional farewell: OHL sees T2 Issame Charai choose Moroccan U23 | Jupiler Pro League

After 10 years alongside Marc Brys, Issame Charai goes his own way. He himself still played football under Brys at Berchem and in 2012 he became his assistant at Al-Faisaly FC in Saudi Arabia.

Afterwards, they also worked together at Beerschot and STVV and now they made good weather together at OH Leuven. But Charai now opts for an adventure with the Moroccan Football Association. He will be the national coach of the national U23.

With a 5-0 win against Seraing, the T2 already received a nice farewell gift. With a big hug from Brys and a lap of honor around the King Power Stadium, Charai left OHL through the large gate.

“I am extremely proud of the opportunity Issame is getting, but I will of course miss it dearly,” said Brys. “We have known each other for a long time and have worked closely together for over 10 years. We have shared joys and sorrows in those years and I am grateful for that.”

“I have seen Issame evolve into the person he is today during that period. I absolutely wish him this great opportunity. It is a new step in his career and immediately at an international level.”
