On Monday, Cameroon’s footballers drew 3-3 with the Serbian national team in a game full of twists and turns in the World Cup (WC) final tournament.
The 30-year-old Abubakar scored a goal and an assist in this game. He entered the match in the 55th minute. Thus, he became the first African football player who, coming from the bench, scored 1+1.
Thanks to the actions of Abubakar, Cameroon managed to draw within three minutes from 1:3.
The national teams of Cameroon and Serbia have met each other only once so far, in 2010 in a test match in which the Serbians won 4:3. Cameroon started the match on a five-match unbeaten run, which saw goals scored only in draws with Jamaica and Panama.
