A strange absence in the Oviedo squad: Cervera backtracks with Borja

Oviedo will play tomorrow against Ponferradina and there is an unexpected absence from the squad. Borja Sánchez will not be part of the expedition after training several days with the group after his injury. Álvaro Cervera, the blue coach, said in the preview that he would be called up and that he could even have minutes. Finally, the coach has reversed his plans and seems determined not to take any kind of risk with the man from Oviedo. There has been no relapse, so the decision is technical, but aimed at avoiding another possible injury. “Borja, Pomares and Enrich have a medical discharge, we will give it to them when we believe. They are not going to be headlines, but we can count on them and if things go well, or badly, we can use them. Not sixty minutes, but counting on them,” Cervera said Thursday in El Requexón.

In training this Friday Borja Sánchez trained with the rest of his teammates and then the club communicated the call, in which the Oviedo player does not appear. The one who returned with the group was Miguelón, although he will not be summoned.
